The goal of this project was to address a social issue that is currently or has been affecting our society. Researching for a problem that we see in the world and then designing an illustrative element to effectively convey a message was the direction that we needed to take. The main focus relied on our design to speak a story without actually having to outwardly explain it. I addressed the opioid crisis that has been occurring for many years within the United States. Big Pharmaceutical companies have a grip on many Americans lives as well as this country. I wanted to incorporate an iconic American symbol while also addressing the drug epidemic that we see in our society today.
